Hop en grut
Arthur and Benedetta have a little farm. On the farm they have some gardens. Some chickens, a bunch of sheep, cats and dogs and work to be done. Farming in an organic way. Experimenting with bio dynamic methods. Vegetables and fruit for own use and for the use of people that help along on the farm. Like the Wwoofers and couchsurfers that drop by hop en grut, for example.
Self-sufficiency, sustainable agriculture and renewable energy are to be found by trial and error. Therefore ideas and people with ideas are always welcome.
We can accomodate people that are interested in helping along for a certain period.
Work in exchange for a good bed and good meals. Good meals means that there is no dead or alive animal on the menu!

Jack, Audrey’s dad here. Just want to thank you for everything you did and provided for Audrey this year. Her stays with you were highlights of her time here in Europe. She learned a lot and really enjoyed getting to know you. I feel as I know you too, from all the excellent tales of stuff you guys did!

Op Marktplaats staan nog 5 drentse heideschapen te koop, misschien is dit wat voor je? De advertentie is op 12 januari geplaatst, Misschien zit er nog een kleurtje bij die je niet meer hebt.

We where your paying guest for a couple of days. We lived in the wonderful ‘Pipo-house’. Got your address by ‘Vrienden op de fiets’.
This is an organization of bikers who want a comfortable bed and a good hospitality for one or more nights. And we can tell you by Arthur you are on the right place. Arthur told us everything about Hop en Grut.
