This is the meadow on the 23th of april, okay no rain but it’s starting to get realy green with lovely dandelions flowering.

Maskrossläktet, paardebloem, dandelions, taraxacum officinale.

That gives great limonade.

SOWING THE MEADOW DAY TODAY!!!

Saterday, 28th march. Yup, today  was good enough for sowing the meadow. It rained, only a slight breeze. Marjolein gave a hand, so it was done within 2 hours. Made the seeds heavy with some sand in a 50%/50% mix. The weather will get beter within the next couple of days. They even say that it will be round 15 degrees on thursday. Good for the grass to sprout.

STILL NO SOWING IN THE MEADOW

Still no sowing in the meadow. The weather is too rough I’m affraid. The seeds will end up in the land of my neighbours. They don’t like that I don’t like that. So hopefully this weekend will be better!

24th of march Spring is wiggeling again!

There you go. It’s so cold that Turdus pilaris and Turdus ilacus have decided to stay in my meadow. Eating all the worms  they’re a good competitor for the moles now. Normally they just stay over for a night to travel further to Norway, or were ever they’re going to up in the north. There here for 3 days allready and still no plans for the last part of there travel. In the morning don’t need no alarm clock. They scream and scream with the lot of them. I’ll give them until this friday, than the wiggeling must finally stop, sure, the birds can stay but I need higher tempature. Awh , does fu…ng farmers, always complaining about the weather.

22 MARCH, THE GALE OF SPRING

Yesterday Wouter harrowed the big meadow land. With the landrover of his mother. And than sunday sowing the new seeds and than monday rain. Unfortunately there was this gale. So instead  I raked the leaves. Just a sof touch with the rake was enough to blow all the leaves to the next village.  I’ll sow tomorrow evening in the rain.
